One of my best lenses for my X-Pro2!

If you don't need the Fuji X-type autofocus, this lens is great. Especially for the price! I couldn't be happier with this purchase. Even at maximum aperture, focus is sharp, with minimal aberrations. Focus rings and aperture rings rotate easily and hang easily on fingers. With the X-Pro2, this lens has really given me back a sense of mastery in my photography, especially on the road. Try it at this price! You can love him just like me.

Surprisingly durable creative toy

This lens was a fun surprise that kept me hooked for hours on our first outing. It feels professionally heavy with its metal and glass components, and the mechanism, while small, gives me the feel of quality gear. Playing the wide aperture with shallow depth of field at macro settings was fun, and bokeh was rendered well behind incredibly sharp foregrounds. Its fun size makes it look so cute on my big X-H1. A happy creative tool.

Pros
  • 7 elements in 6 groups
Cons
  • Clarity

This review is for the TTArtisan 35mm F1.4 APS-CI manual focus lens that I bought because I was looking for a fast lens and didn't want to spend a fortune. I use it on my Fuji XT-4 (APS-C) sensor. Well, like my title says, I still don't get what to make of it. The lens feels solid, all metal, very small and portable. .Image quality is probably unacceptable: there is severe vignetting and very terrible purple fringing (see attached photos). The image is soft when shooting at f1.4 and 1.8. will…
