Front pieces are slightly slanted, not straight across the top and uneven on either side, but not noticeable unless you look closely. The ankle area of the boots is a bit wide and I don't have skinny ankles at all. There are also large creases on the toes and unless treated with some sort of leather conditioner they will tear badly. The same goes for the ankle area, it flexes and folds a lot.
