🐠 Tunze 8821 Ecochic White LED Aquarium Light Review

The perfect hideaway light with the right spectrum from a growing Hietto. Will buy more as I upgrade my system. love this light

I use it as a water swamp light, everything grows like weeds. They have less stray light and are so close to plants that 9 watts is almost too much. I am very happy.

My last lamp did a good job growing Cheto but it was 8 inches above the water and light was everywhere, algae growing in the wrong places. This light is submersible and allows me to keep the light where I want it. The price seems fair for such a high build quality.

I bought a Tunze 8821 to light my sanctuary I just started in my swamp. I have since learned that Tunze only makes 8831 for Refugium which has more red spectrum but I can just stick with 8821. It was great for growing pom pom gracilaria macroalgae and the price was reasonable.

. Look, the seller of this item is great. It was delivered to my home safely and quickly. However, I don't like this light. I have a low tech 5 gallon aquarium and this light is way too bright. I thought there was a way to adjust the light but apparently there is no way to adjust this. I also misunderstood and thought that this flashlight has a sunrise/sunset function but only the 8850 has it :/ Sigh I'm not happy with this lamp at all but if it suits your needs then by all means buy it at this
