I have been using this type of aeration and have been serving meals and taking leftovers for lunch for years. With the vent closed there are never any leaks, and then simply open the vent to microwave the contents. It turns out simple food.

I was having a little impromptu Tupperware party with my neighbor when I got them. The lid is stuck. We heat eggs and other foods with the vent open. We keep it in the refrigerator with the small white opening covered. It's old technology meeting new technology. I want more!
