I don't know why, but the sound is very uneven and bad. I use them for my computer to watch Netflix and everything sounds almost muffled even at max volume for my computer and head seat. However, the sound in the background when using the computer is very loud and clear. I've been messing around in the settings with everything I could find but haven't found a solution. I liked these headphones so much that after an initial breakage I bought them again after just a few months. update: turtlebeach great seller. They did the right thing by giving us options. #1 send the headset back for a real "new" headset or #2 send us the OEM plates that should be on the side.
