I bought a hard mattress and after one night I realized I had made a mistake. Tried to exchange but couldn't. This topper added the extra comfort I was looking for. In the long term I'm a little worried about it flattening out where the bodies are lying, but after a month or so it's holding up well. Time will tell Update: it has held up very well. I'm about two years old and it's only now feeling a bit flat. It's a very soft topper so it's too big to fit in my washing machine.
