Harry's Shaving Cream offers a comfortable shave at a much lower price, especially in the larger size. Ultimate Comfort costs $4.12 per ounce ($32.9 for 8 ounces). Harry's Large Shaving Cream ($11.99 for 6.7 ounces) and Medium ($7.99 for 3.4 ounces) Harry's are $1.79 and $2.35 an ounce, respectively.

The product reduces the pain and irritation of shaving but does clog the razor blades and I wouldn't call it a fair substitute for a fantastic product like the Lab Series Ultimate Protection Shaving Cream which I have used before. The product tends to dry out if not shaved fairly quickly.

I also bought this as a replacement for the Lab series. Unfortunately it didn't hit the target. It's a little smoother than the Lab series, allowing me to run out of the tub faster than ever. Although it claims to contain lidocaine, I definitely didn't feel it. It's not a bad product, but it doesn't stand out as anything special like the old Lab series formula. I'll probably keep looking instead of buying it again.

I am looking for a replacement for the Lab Series shaving cream which is being discontinued but does not contain an anesthetic so not as good as LS. Okay, but I miss the lab series.

Although I like this shaving cream. The cream in this product isn't as "creamy" as the Lab series, but it doesn't get caught between my razor blades either.
