I took a chance because it was cheap. It's cheap for a reason. Terrible stuff. Falls apart quickly with regular use. It's hard to put into words, but you just know it's a junk sale. You can tell a quality cap as soon as you hold it in your hand. This one is crying out to be put back. Absolutely nothing about this cap makes me want to put it on my head.

Contrary to the positive reviewers I was not impressed. The hat was $8.99, a dollar or two more than the camouflage/non-mesh caps on the Walmart counter. Less expensive Walmart hats are made from materials that are almost twice as thick and stronger. The same goes for the cheapest Rothco hats: they are even heavier and thicker than these. I ordered the snake camouflage and the colors have completely faded even though the hat is brand new.

This Woodland MARPAT style hat is well made. I did notice a few sewing errors but not enough to cause problems, mostly loose thread. . This is a ripstop fabric. That way I know I'll wear the fabric by the brim with constant use (I did the same thing with my USMC-issued cap, which was a ripstop). For what I paid, less than $5, it's a great value and I wasn't expecting a flawless product at this price point.
