They are too small for their size. My daughter is 3 and I bought a size 4 and they are exactly the same length as her size 3T pants so definitely need to order 1 or 2 sizes up.

Excellent quality trousers. However, the length has reduced significantly after the first wash! I bought them in both navy blue and khaki and as I've already washed them I can't return them :( unless your child is small - order a full size larger than you think you need! The waist is adjustable, if you need an extra leg length I'll know next time.

Well the pants are made of nice material and very durable. There are adjustable straps at the waist. My daughter is very thin so I can't tell if the waist size is suitable for a 5 year old. It still fits 4T. But the description says the pants are not CAPRI pants. It's not enough for trousers. My daughter is small and the stumps on her feet only go 1 inch above her ankle.
