I have used the steamer more than one iron and these gloves have worked as expected. The steam no longer burns. They don't have a cuff or any elastic to keep them from sliding down so I ended up just using an elastic.

I use them often. I have to steam the new dress as soon as it arrives. I was very happy that there were no more surprises from the big steamer. Now the gloves are big and mittens so it's hard to grab the small pads but they work. Too bad they made them glove style, I think it would have been better.

It is thin and protects hands from steam. Some relief for working with a standing steamer. Bought with a pad on the back of gloves, it doesn't get any easier to work with. I wish this set had one with separate fingers that made it easier to move the fingers. Not sure if it can have a little pad on one side. When I close my palm they ideally snap together to use as a little pad for corner areas. I also want one of them to be longer to protect the forearm or wrist.

I bought these gloves to use with a textile steamer and they are very useful. I'm working on steaming large tablecloths. I hang one of these on hangers and then use a glove on one hand to hold the fabric taut to steam out the wrinkles. I can't even smell steam through my glove.
