Just what I needed to organize my sewing workshop. There is enough space on the shelf for several spools of thread. It takes medium to large coils with ease, although I don't have any really large coils to try. It's pretty, but I can spray paint it to make it look even nicer. It's much nicer to have my own yarn on my desk than stuck in plastic boxes that I have to pull down from the shelf every time I need a new color of yarn.

It's so nice to know what I need at a glance It's not too big or bulky and when I need it When you don't need it, it folds neatly for easy storage. The back legs of this stand stayed in place, I had no trouble folding it. However, I do know that someone has, I suspect, a child. If you don't pay attention and tap it, it will collapse. I did not purchase this product to use spools of sewing thread. I was looking for something to organize all my craft wire spools. Everything I found for wire organization had spools next to each other. Not ideal if you want to work from a spool etc. I thought this rack would work but thought I might have to cut off some spindles to make room for the wire spools. Turns out it wasn't.
