I found it to be lightweight and comfortable while providing excellent protection. I used to use a hat with a smaller brim. To get the protection this hat provides I would put a towel over my head and pull my old hat down over it to hold it in place. While it worked I wanted an easier and more comfortable solution and this is it. I bought 2 of these and am very pleased.

Love this hat! It gives me all the coverage I need on my face and neck. Highly recommended for fair skin peeps like me. Also, it is big enough to fit my large head. I wear a 8 5/8 baseball cap.

This is my second purchase of this hat. It does a great job of shading from the sun. The hat has a draw string to cinch the headband in place. It will fit a very large head. I'm 7 5/8. It has an extra long and wide brim. Very comfortable. I use it for bike riding and fishing. I also go in the pool with it. I love this sun shade hat.

Purchased this hat for my 78 year old Father. He still likes to go out and tend to his garden, cut grass and work around his house. He wasn't sure about the hat at first and didn't realize that it's adjustable. Once he saw that he could adjust the size, he doesn't go outside without his hat. The brim covers his face and he loves that it covers the ears and the neck flap keeps the back of his neck protected from the sun. We're both very happy with the purchase.

I really love this hat. It is just like the photo. It gets the job done and is cool. It certainly covers EVERYTHING to your shoulders. Docked it a star because it is poorly sewn across the crown with a large, noticeable pucker. For the price, I just kept it because the pucker doesn't hurt the functionality of the hat and I'm not going to be received by royalty or anything like that!

The hat fis well, I have a large head so tis is important. It is light weight, covers my neck and shades my eyes and I like that it has an adjustment at the back of the crown as well as a comfortable one that goes under the chin. Looks like it will be great for stashing and for the sun in Tanzania where I'll be working.

I wore it for the first time today under low 80 degree southern california sunlight. The hat is light, comfortable, just right size - neither too wide or narrow. The top portion is adjustable for fitting smaller head with mesh sides allowing for air circulation. My face and neck did not feel the heat. Highly recommended.

Very light weight and like the neck drawstring for wind control. I love the added coverage on my neck and shoulders. May not be suitable for people with allergies.

The brim is nice and wide for sun protection on the face. The flap in the rear is large and does a good job of covering the neck. It washes in the machine well. The hat looked fine after the first washing.

Needed a hat to fit large head size. It wasn’t tight. Wore it all day at a ball game sitting in the sun. FYI it doesn’t have a ponytail hole. Rolled it up to put in suitcase to travel. Great hat.

Really like this hat to keep the sun off me when I am fishing! It is cool and lightweight. Also keeps the sun off my neck which is another plus! I also like the adjustable feature and the adjustable "string" around the neck so you can keep it on better if the wind is blowing! Thanks for a great product!

Blocks the sun as expected, but it does keep a little heat even with the vents. I had an acute allergic skin reaction where the inner band of the hat touched my head and where the top fell on the top of my head. After days of antihistamines and anti inflammatories, I washed the hat and kept it, you should wash the hat before you use it.

These are best hats I ever use. DON"T try other brands. "SOLARIS ONLY!" The one in the photo is 2 years old. Fits good, blocks the sun out well, especially on my neck. Still look like a goofball wearing it, but function over form in this case
