Works great for Ignition

Used the suggested settings from the website and it worked perfectly. Just be careful when removing the bolts holding the ECM in place, they must have used the red lock and I ended up unscrewing one of the threaded inserts. Very easy to install.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • poorly thought out

great product in electronic ignition

Great product. Easy installation and configuration. Gave me power when accelerating. Good product. I would recommend. Call Vance and Hines about the product and ask a question. Very helpful. Let me know what I need to know and how to reset if needed. Very good.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Fragile

Big improvement!

I recently bought a 2003 Road King with Vance & Hines Big Shot Duals exhaust. The motorcycle will backfire and shake under deceleration. Called V&H and they said I need a Fuelpak. I bought it from Powersport Superstore and installed it in 30 minutes. No more hesitation and very few unpleasant consequences! Very satisfied! Vance & Hines Fuelpak - Original 49 Condition 61003A

Pros
  • GOLS Certified
Cons
  • Very Expensive

The electronics behind the plastic cover are very difficult to access.

Very difficult to access electronics behind the plastic cover. The tiny screws broke off and became impossible to work with. I had to drill holes in the lid and use a pen to program the device and then fill the holes with epoxy. Other than that I have no complaints, rode on Stage 1 when upgrading to 03 Road King and no problems after 500 miles.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Expensive

I don't like the V&H support card nor this one.

Vance and Hines do not supply a card for 2007 FLHX 96 Twin V with S&S 550 cam kit Dyno shops do not want this tuner. I emailed V&H prior to installation and they sent a map which was not accurate. V&H only had two maps available and did not inform me that the map sent would not work properly. I have real V&H duels, high flow filters. I am not satisfied with either the V&H support card or this tuner.

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons
  • Long delivery time

Good upgrade but there are limitations

Added fuel pack to upgrade cam (S&S 510G) and new pads (V&H Ovals) for my 2003 Harley Road King. Some sort of fuel control is required and that seemed like a good choice. V&H Technical Support has provided input numbers to dial depending on the configuration. The only downside is you can't bench setup and tune the computer - only use what V&H offers. However, the bike handles very well and the effect of the fuel control is really clear - both under acceleration and deceleration.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Useless features

Good product but problems

After many emails to V&H customer service I received a customized display code to upgrade my camera and save fuel. Seems to be working fine! However, after installing the fuel pack, I encountered two ECM fuse failures. The ECM fuse has blown twice for no apparent reason. I haven't tracked the issue, but it all started after installing the fuselpack. There seem to be others on various blogs that have had this problem. If I can identify the problem and fix it, I'll be very happy with the…

Pros
  • Slim design
Cons
  • Volume
