Easy to install and super bright! It illuminates the entire ground area in the rear of my 4Runner and also makes it easier to see when reversing in the dark. It's definitely worth it!

This is better than just changing the bulb but there are two things I would change. 1: Brightness, WOW, too bright. In fact, they illuminate the entire rear of the car and the ground just below. You should only light the plate. 2: Angle, I wish the LEDs weren't just board mounted. They leave a dark gap in the middle of the panel because they shine straight down. It would be better if the LEDs at the ends of the array were placed on the PCB at an angle to spread the light better.

They fit perfectly but the LEDs feel a little overworked and get very hot so they probably won't last long. cool (about 1 watt power consumption versus 2 watts unchanged) and these methods should take much longer. Resistors R2 and R3 control the current for the LEDs, they are in series 1.6ohms + 2.4ohms (4ohms total), if you replace one or both, so the total resistance is about 8ohms, the Current reduced by about half and the LEDs work much colder. Great job replacing 194 weak bulbs in the license plate light. Have 2 4runners (4th and 5th gen) and install them in both and see the difference compared to the OEM 194 bulb. I wasted money replacing a set of LED bulbs that look good for a month or two , until the dust finally penetrates them Cover the LED with a mixture of dust, exhaust fumes and brake dust.
