I was looking for a C-clip for my glass table but it wasn't very reliable. I could damage the glass as I would be putting so much pressure and weight on a very small area of glass, it helped spread the weight and pressure over a large enough area that needed to be secure enough to hold my two LG monitors keep.

Great reinforcement for your monitor arm when using the C-Clamp. My desk isn't very thick and I'm relieved that the monitor arm doesn't weigh down the desk. Also, you can clamp the monitor stand without worrying about damaging the table. The upper part has a felt pad to avoid damaging the table.

I had a glass top table and wanted to attach a monitor mount to it. I was thinking of using cardboard or wood but then I saw this thing and decided to give it a try. It is a well carved solid piece of steel with a thin and soft backing on the underside that acts as a semi-adhesive/tread between the steel piece and the glass top. Perfect. I bought it for $19.99 but they seem to be on sale right now for $24.99. it sucks.

Got this to provide stability under the monitor mount attached to my desk. The bracket holds 2 monitors and started to sag. When I removed the bracket to install this bracket, I noticed that there was a dent on the top of the presswood table. Lesson learned from cheap tables (it was a failure for me). This mount provided the stability I was looking for. It is made of durable metal and easy to install. The mount hasn't sagged since then. I am very happy with this purchase.

I ordered 2 of these boards as I also have a cheap IKEA desk top made from corrugated board and only covered in veneer. One above and one below. The size is large and covers a large area. A foam sticker also helps if you have a glass table or are trying to keep the surface intact. I only wish the device was cheaper (you literally pay for metal bent, cut and plated). the second smaller piece was larger. (again just wish you could get more for what you pay for)

I have a 3 monitor arm and the pressure on that small spot from that arm is flexing my desk so I have this to distribute the weight. In short, it only works because I stuffed a large piece of styrofoam between my desk and the metal plate. This slab should be much larger than it is, and the bottom should be larger as well. But that solved my post styrofoam problem and I'm sure others won't need as much support as me because I only have 4 screens (software developers in case you're wondering).

I was concerned that my desk would be too thin to support my new attachable monitor arms. I installed it anyway and noticed a tension on the edge of the table where the clamp was attached. With my two monitors, I could see the entire arrangement flexing my desk. I got worried and started thinking about how to fix this. I wanted to mount the mic boom to my desk, but the desk has a beveled edge - meaning the lower (adjustable) part of the clamp only partially engages the floor surface. This, of course, was a problem for several reasons. I saw and ordered this product to try and it works great! Unfortunately, I don't even use the large slab intended for the countertop, just the underside. This is the right size to extend the clamping surface to the full depth of the C-Clamp and being steel there is no risk of it
