They are great and very comfortable. My son sometimes hates certain clothes or certain shoes because they feel that way and he was very comfortable in them! We went on a long hike and he liked how they supported us and how he could run and jump. For reference, he is seven years old.

My grandchildren really liked these boots, I ordered two different colors. They buckled them on and said they were comfortable. The best thing for them is that the sole of the shoe you open has a small ice pick (cleat) built into it. When walking on icy sidewalks or on an icy hill, the spikes provide traction. I bought these boots based on the positive reviews. If others have mentioned the quality of these shoes, there is a reason for that. The quality is amazing! I love her! You don't have to tie them. It uses velcro to keep it closed and the velcro is strong. You can't go wrong with these winter boots. I could easily see how the metal clip on the bottom (which you have to flip over for it to work) helps prevent slipping on ice.

I ordered these on September 29th 2018 and it is now January 15th 2019 and they are going in the trash. My son didn't start wearing them until the weather changed (maybe late October) and they held up the season the way I wanted them to. This is a very large shoe. My 9 year old says it's comfortable and not heavy at all to wear to school all day. I think he's right because when you hold it in your hand it's pretty light. it is also unlined. I bought it as an alternative when it's really cold outside and the sneakers just don't fit. But it's not really winter boot day. I ordered it through Prime, received it in two days as expected ie Friday so my kid wore it to school on Monday and Tuesday. Today is Wednesday and this morning…
