It is important to note that most of the beads on this chandelier are silver colored and NOT transparent. Only the most extreme pearls in the form of crystals are transparent. Not a big deal given the price, and she goes to an all-girls daycare, so I doubt she'll mind. However, if you're considering placing it in a home entertainment space, you might want to consider something that costs a little more.

Used to decorate the entrance of my little sister's tiny studio. It would have been possible to attach it to an existing ceiling light as a real chandelier, but I just hung it on a wire under the existing ceiling light as a decoration to make it easier. I have the silver version which is made up of faceted silver plastic beads with clear teardrops at the bottom. Against the background of a silver-colored ceiling, it is indistinguishable from metal. Very nice for the price!

I just love this chandelier! I read the reviews and yes it's not Crystal. But it's $35! I don't think you expect real crystal for $35?! The first one I received came with a bent frame and I had to look for a replacement. But it was a quick and easy exchange process and the seller was great at it. I am very pleased! BTW, I went to the dollar store and bought one of these little flashlights, flipped it upside down and stuck it in there and it works great! See photo.

This far exceeded my expectations! It looks so good! As other reviewers have said, the crystals are silvery, opaque, but can't be sure. The crystals at the bottom are transparent. I hung this with a Worthpoint spot mount that works with recessed lights. You just take out the bulb, screw in this bracket and then put any lampshade on it. That's where this chandelier comes in. I will definitely order another one for recessed lights next to it. I think it looks fantastic. Very happy! The wallpaper,
