These LED strips are pretty bright. Don't expect anything blindingly bright when you can get 6 LED strips for $10 though. Glue is fine as long as you properly clean the surfaces you're sticking LED strips to with a clean towel and some denatured alcohol (pretty sure most people who complain just stick them on and expect them to stay ). The wires are tiny, so you'll need the right tool (one designed for stripping 20 GA wire or less) to strip the ends cleanly.

I needed a light over the sink in my RV. This strip was too dull for the purpose and the adhesive backing fell off after a week. So they're easy to install, but I plan to add some "glue" to make them more durable. I think they will be suitable for indirect lighting or body lighting in many cases. Used them on a Jeep to upgrade floor lights. I installed new shades and didn't like the yellow tint that came off the floor shades. I changed the wire to a slightly thicker wire to ensure my seat belts are secure. I've bought hundreds of different LEDs. I assumed they wouldn't be very bright since the description doesn't say whether they're 5730 (brightest), 50/50 (very bright, most common) or 3037 (2-3 times less bright than 50:50 ) are.
