My finished product did not spread evenly as shown in the pictures. It fits very tightly to the crystal inside. I usually use thicker pliers to avoid scratches, but you need very thin pliers for this. My little pliers that I use for beadwork also came in handy. I would not buy this set for a friend. If I try to fix that, everyone will have to order more jump rings. I really don't like how the crystal looks in it. Even though I've tried not to show the drilled hole, it's not as pretty as a loose

Once again I ordered a set from this company and was delighted, disappointed, confused and then utterly proud of my success in mastering a new skill in making chain mail jewelry. This pattern was definitely tricky at the end. I was damn grateful that I used two very sharp needle nose pliers. I managed to plant the bead and finish the pendant and I love it! I also like that there are always extra rings should you need them. I will continue to use these kits as they make learning the craft fun!

It ended up being very difficult. I had a hard time getting the rings past the crystal when encasing them. I ended up using a smaller crystal because the one that came with it either fell out of its seat or the rings came loose when I tried to snap it into place. So disappointing. Also it does not hang like in the picture. I saw another review and the person who wrote it said the same thing and they used the crystal that came with it. This is the reason for the 3 star rating.
