This mount is ideal for attaching an external monitor or phone to the Ronin's gimbal. The cold shoe mount is also an added bonus, allowing me to mount a mic and pick up good outside noise when using the gimbal. Half the price of the competition for twice the quality you have to buy.

For some reason I've always had issues with Magic Arms wiggling and wiggling. The DigitalFoto Groot is a fixed head that solves the problems I had with the Magic Arm. The only thing there is. I like the strength of this product. If I fasten it in the right position, it goes nowhere. It takes a second to tighten properly, but if the weight isn't shifted too much it will hold. The build feels slim yet solid, reminding me of the size of a PolarPro monitor, but at almost half the price. Strong and thick bracket improves the weight distribution of the camera monitor. I use the second screen as my webcam video setting. That's very pleasant. My only request is that they differ by making the cold shoe mount a NATO rail mount. Otherwise, the lack of a pivot point for the top monitor doesn't bother me. The packaging is good too and the free phone holder is nice and stronger than it looks.

I have tried other dual tension ball head mounts and they have been terrible. (The tension knob was never tightened enough and the slightest bump or pressure would cause the whole thing to go limp and my monitor to fall off). This solved my problems and I should have just bought it first. Screws in and stays in place with minimal effort (I can hand tighten without fear of it loosening on its own).
