Weifert Black Leather Dress 2.0 Review

My husband does not like belts and often needs a new one. Department store belts are often very expensive and don't last longer than cheaper name brand belts so I decided to give it a try as it was under $20. My husband is also picky about his belts - width, material, how he buckles - so I was glad he liked this one. Seems to be of good quality, especially for the price, so would recommend as a dress or everyday belt.

I ordered a size up and then cut a short piece of strap to fit. The end of the strap that attaches to the buckle is easy to undo and cut just what is needed for a perfect fit. You then slide the strap back into the buckle and it snaps easily into place. The belt is a little slippery at the point of contact with the pants, but I expect this will ease up over time. The black buckle makes it less obtrusive when you're wearing black pants.

Update. The clasp doesn't stay on. This is a clamp. And it doesn't work well. I got one from someone, it's better. Don't say it's a bad belt. My initial review was below and it turns out I was stupid not knowing that when you buy a belt you are buying what you need and not a wasted size. However. Expected more from a $15 belt. The pin comes out very loose, that seems to be a problem. He's small too. I'm a size 32-34, I have a 32 waist and I'm on the last hole. Learn from my mistake: do yourself a favor and go to the store for it. Same price if not cheaper, you can try it on to make sure it fits and you can see and feel the craftsmanship/quality. This is a great everyday belt and if I can protect it from scratches and wear and tear I would have no hesitation in wearing it as an everyday belt. I've bought cheap belts for housework and the salon, but they never last. I've bought expensive dress/work belts that have cost me 5x the price of a Weifert belt, but for the money this is a great belt. I expect it to be worn for several years. I'll probably have to buy another one for everyday use.
