My 4 pound dog loves them!

I have always fed my dogs Wellness brand but until my little dog had all his front teeth pulled I fed him small breed pellets which he also loved. I like that there are different flavors and that each portion corresponds to its weight. BUT, I'm 74 years old and I can't open these supposedly "easy to open" containers without pliers!

Pros
  • GOLS Certified
Cons
  • Expandable

Why is it so incredibly enjoyable to watch a dog eat with excitement? His Royal Highness had previously eaten with obvious disinterest in what was obviously my usual snack choice. I was very stunned when I put it in front of him and he breathed it in. Multiple times. He dances in anticipation!

Pros
  • cool product
Cons
  • there are doubts

Unfortunately made in Thailand

My dog loves this food and eats once a day in addition to Wellness Small Breed Dry Food. However, I am disappointed that this product is made in Thailand while other wellness products are made in the USA. I didn't realize this when I first bought it because I trusted the company since I was based in the US. Now my dog looks forward to this food but I hate feeding him food made outside of the US or Canada. Wellness please start this in USA!

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Easy maintenance

My dog loves food. as soon as we get to eat.

I have ordered this several times but the last time the "Easy Open" handle was not easy to open at all. This cover is glued as if nobody needs it. NP2168-R2/BB-05-Nov 2017 19:36 After the seal is broken it's no big deal to open it but it was a pain to separate that initial edge. I usually order the beef version and have never had an opening problem for my 9 lb Chihuahua mix. He doesn't care what flavor he gets.

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Good but not great

Wonderful, easy to feed

I have a very demanding Cairn Terrier who is over 13 years old. I spend more money to try their food than family dinners. So far she loves this wet food. I have found that I can mix 1/2 pack with a serving of Rawz Kibble in the morning and 1/2 with Rawz Kibble at night and she licks the bowl clean. I'm so excited because she actually spent a whole month on the same diet. Now I feel like a miracle has happened. 4 stars because it's expensive for such a small portion.

  • Confident

Packaging needs improvement

Although my dog loves these minis, the packaging is terrible. I'm having a terrible time trying to pry the lid off the bottom. Granted, I have quite a bit of arthritis in my hands, but the lid seems to have a stranglehold on the container. It's always a struggle to remove it. First, the angled tab used to grab the cover needs to be longer/larger in order to be able to remove it. It would help a lot. And just creating a seal in some way that isn't as tight as it is would make removing it a lot…

Pros
  • Durable test results
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for seniors

Great small portions, best when wet

My dog is a 15 pound mini poodle who usually eats Wellness Chicken Stew, but sometimes I buy a box of Petite Entree (chicken and beef) just to go to give him some diversity. I've tried feeding him beef stew and turkey stew but his stomach rebels if I switch proteins too quickly. They're also great for portion control if you have a small dog that needs to shed a few pounds. I have read about pet food that is packaged or manufactured in Thailand. Thailand's standards are just as high, maybe even…

Pros
  • Great overall performance
Cons
  • Hard to tell

Fresh food sucks best when wet

Fresh food sucks. I tried Farmer's Dog and Aaliyah and thought it would be good for my pup. He has colitis in both. They love the musty taste and are so hard to get rid of. Six weeks later he is still suffering. It's the only food I've been able to get him to eat since our fiasco. He gets a little constipated every two or three weeks, but other than that he's finally come to terms with it. These fresh dog foods are very suspect in my opinion. Can't write reviews. Well, you can write them when…
