High quality, beautiful case, lots of useful accessories, handle cut off, poor instructions.

I have several Wesco power tools, both corded and cordless. I have always been impressed with Wesco quality and performance. This rotation tool is no exception. This is a quality tool that comes with many useful attachments. Everything fits neatly into the included carrying case. The case itself is plastic, but the latches are metal. Inexpensive and powerful rotary tool with adjustable speed. The set is mediocre.

Disclaimer: I received this product for free through the Vine program. I've had a Dremel tool for decades and I've found more and more uses for it over time. I carry it back and forth to our country house when I need to use it there. I ordered this Wesco tool so I can have a rotary tool as well. The Wesco tool motor is rated at 1.4A or 168W. At 168W that's somewhere between the 144W Dremel 3000 and the 175W Dremel 4000. In actual idle I got the motor to, at top speed around 0, draw 6 amps…

Not a replacement for a Dremel

Wesco rotary tool set is a good tool for light work at an affordable price. It has limitations, and some are pretty big. The manual only contains safety instructions and some pictograms that illustrate how to insert the tip/tip and how to attach the flexible shaft. I use that 99% of the time. I use it to clean the (porcelain) lamp glass. I've used Dremel mini pliers for years, which are cordless, relatively inexpensive, and pretty good for what I use them for.
