Westinghouse Lighting 7041100 Chain Socket Review

I have a floor lamp and the cartridge has somehow shorted out. I live far out of town and don't want to go to a hardware store. This is an exact replacement for a bad outlet. and delivered straight to my home. Life has become a lot easier than it was a few years ago.

This socket replaced the three pin socket in my bedside lamp. I used to have to stretch my arm to reach the light switch in the dark and I was afraid of falling out of bed. (Age 91) I lengthened the chain and it now ends about 1 inch above the table top. Happy is a retired researcher who solved an annoying problem!

Who would have thought to write a lamp holder review? Now that it's something you use every day, and sometimes multiple times a day, anything that makes life easier deserves a comment. Maybe it's just that I'm getting older, but just turning the bedside lamp on and off was becoming increasingly difficult, especially in the morning right after waking up. I just don't feel like the constant hassle, especially when you've just woken up, so I've been contemplating getting a pull-chain lamp socket…
