Great for my food saver.

Fantastic product. Will reorder. Allows sealing without unconventional fasteners. Ideal for lunchtime meats and foods that you use frequently.

Pros
  • A little above
Cons
  • Minor issues

They are also great for preparing small portions of food

I have not used these bags for food before. I used them for ice packs. I filled them halfway with water and then sealed the bag without vacuum. We needed two of us, one to hold the bag and the other to close the sealing lid, but now I have reusable ice packs for my 5 gallon soda dispenser. My original intention was to use them when freezing corn. They would also do well to prepare smaller portions of bulk-bought foods like cheese.

Pros
  • New to my collection
Cons

I ordered these pouches to pack my homemade dry meals.

I ordered these bags to pack my homemade dry food for hiking the John Muir Trail. My goal was to pour hot water into pockets and cook/fix food on the trail. The zippers on all of my pockets had failed so I couldn't reseal the pockets after adding hot water. When trying to open the top of the bag, the zipper came loose on one side. I had to switch to Ziploc freezer bags mid-trip and then had to take the time to repack all my groceries at all my refill points.

Pros
  • Fits many
Cons
  • Some difficulties
