I bought a TRX-2 a little over a year ago. I've been a radio amateur for 45 years and generally keep up with the technology at my station. However, the Whistler TRX-2 takes scanning and subsequent programming to the next level. Still enjoying my BCD536HP and BCD436HP, just wanted to add to the collection. And I don't care about NXDN, so don't get lost. Now wait patiently for

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons

Instead you simply download your configuration onto a removable SD/MMC card which the radio accesses to know what you want from it. With this understanding, I went ahead and…

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Could have opted for a newer model
