🧺 Whitmor Wire Shelf Basket in White Review

Most wire baskets are pretty much the same but this one has one feature that sets it apart from the rest - an inverted comb at the opening to keep things from rolling out. There was a similar basket that was a little cheaper, but I knew it wasn't as useful without the turned-over edge. I'm very happy with it!

It could be Marie Kondo's fashion, or maybe I'm just tired of my own clutter, but recently I decided to organize my house the way an adult lives in it. These baskets work wonders in that regard, making excellent use of previously useless space in my closets and shelves. They're pretty strong and stable, slip easily when I need to reach something behind them and so far (I've had them for 3 months) they still look brand new. I'm sure I can think of more!

This is a fairly good quality basket, but it will not fit on shelves that are almost flush with the cabinet door. I have a gap of about 3/8" between the front of the shelf and the inside of the closet door. It stood up slightly on the shelf and didn't interfere with the door. However, the bottom of the basket sticks out more than the top. The bottom made that difficult Closing the Closet Door This basket is great for a shelf that's a few inches from the inside of a closet door.

I am very happy with it. The bars attached to the shelf are a little deeper than our shelf (which is a little deeper than the one shown in the photo) but that's ok, I'd rather have it too deep than not fit the different shelf sizes. I just slipped a little grippy liner under each little hand and it stays in perfect condition. It was great to use space in our hall closet; The California cabinets are beautiful, but there was a large empty space between the two hanging tiers that filled that space

My husband was kind enough to fit some long shelves into our narrow pantry. And it works really well overall, but there seems to be an unused space between the existing wire shelves and one of the new wooden shelves. Enter this special hanging wire basket. I hung it on the top wire shelf and secured it with some zip ties. Voila! I can store 12 small cans of soup and 3 jars of pickled ginger in a place where we can both see them.
