Small and portable. The sound quality is terrible, my laptop plays music louder than this unit. I bought it for class and we can't even use it. My classmate took it home to use on her child before bed. I would not recommend this to anyone who wants to play music during a conversation or social gathering. I was so disappointed! Money down the drain, given away out of disappointment.

Don't expect this speaker to be audible over background noise around you. That means if you have running water or a fan, dryer, exercise bike, etc., you won't be able to hear that speaker. The volume is louder than your phone and the sound has more depth (not as tinny as your phone). It's better than wearing out your phone's speakers.
