I ordered this product for my Olympus Pen E-PL1 because the product description changed when I ordered it. After all, the camera isn't designed to work with such devices, which is an absolute shame. This remote control is fully compatible with Olympus E-PL2 and probably the rest of the PEN series as it comes with RM-UC1 cable. I was pleasantly surprised by the high processing quality. Plus, it comes with a 1-year Vivitar USA Warranty. You can mount the receiver on a hot shoe for convenience (but this is not required). There is not much to say about this. I used it on an Olympus E-PL2 (edit: and also on an E-PL5) and it worked great. I tried it once at home to see if it worked and then used it to take fireworks photos for a couple of nights on a trip to Walt Disney World. It was a bit of a hassle, frantically setting up the tripod, camera on and focusing, settings right, ND filter on, plugged in, everything turned on as it should, all in the middle of a huge crowd.
