Just arrived and checked the finish of the belt and everything seems fine! My mom measured, cut and re-stitched the buckle on the belt to make it a perfect fit! My mother is a seamstress and so far no problems! I ordered a longer belt than I needed so the more belts the better so I can get more accurate belt measurements for my waist and give me some room to experiment at the end of the belt! I bought this belt because I was looking for a lighter weight belt that would still hold up. I work in a factory and temperatures can range from 90 to 100+ degrees. Unfortunately the first strap did not fit but the seller quickly sent a replacement for a different strap. It might take a little longer, but maybe I just need to shed a few pounds. This is the second Canvas Web Belt I've bought in the last few months and it broke again. The canvas flap, which folds over to secure the D-rings, uses inferior stitching that fails within a relatively short period of time. Stitches should be made with thicker thread and more than one stitch should be used to secure them in place. Thinking it was a one time problem I bought the belt again only to have the second belt fail in the same way. I cannot recommend this belt.

I would say slightly shorter if you like a ponytail that comes out more than 1 inch pay for the first belt loop although for me the next size up is a small tail. But otherwise no complaints.
