📸 Black Xit XT30WAB 30mm 0.43X Wide Angle Camera Lens Review

I bought this wide angle lens to add to my new Andonstar AD407 HDMI 3D Digital Microscope for a wider view. It works perfectly! Outstanding clarity. Without distortion. The lens is of good quality. Fantastic value. I would recommend it to anyone who needs a lens with a 30mm thread.

This was wide enough and cheap enough to test if an IP network based security camera would give a wider field of view. Since I only use it at 640 x 480, the optical quality seems good on the few I've bought. I'll update my rating if I use a higher resolution.

This lens kit makes my Andonstar AD407 much more useful for PCB work by expanding the field of view and increasing the depth of field. PCBs with tall components often couldn't be fully focused, but I now have a depth of field of around 25mm (1 inch) which makes it much easier to work with PCBs without my tools going completely out of focus. And being able to tilt the board while you work without refocusing is awesome!
