Works best in HDD accessories

This enclosure easily mounts an NVMe SSD for fast external storage that is lightweight and small. Creates backup copies of the entire laptop easily and quickly. SSDs in enclosures are less likely to be damaged if accidentally dropped. I bought two of these.

Very fast and reliable design!

I ordered this case expecting decent speed and build, but got more than I thought it would. This item helped me increase the read and write speeds of a 512GB NVME/PCIe SSD to the 6000-7500Mbps range for a team. The drive sits on a small USB-C board in a very sturdy anodized case. I have nothing but praise for the design of this case! I'll probably buy another one to convert my new laptop's tiny 240GB drive to a slightly larger USB drive as I have 1TB NVME in my new Razer Blade 15. All in all…

Terrible design reinforced by poor assembly

This item requires disassembly to install the SSD. This requires removing the smallest screws I've ever seen. They were too tight when assembling the device. Using the supplied screwdriver, my jeweler's screwdriver, a vise, vise clamps, etc., I was unable to loosen any of the screws one iota before the Phillips in the screw heads ripped off. There is absolutely no reason why the screws used to mount this device should be so small or need to be over tightened during assembly. Sent back for a…
