EXTREMELY hard white light - looking for a softer white

I bought them for outdoor lighting on both sides of the front door. When we turned them on, it was almost awkward. The hue contrasts sharply with all the soft white bulbs on our street. Plus, they're super bright! Our house is like a lighthouse on a lighthouse. The brightness would be ideal if the hue was softer. I will switch to 2700-3000K Hue but still at 1500lm.

Do not use with a timer.

I love lightbulbs. They are very bright but use very little power. I bought them to use on the car headlights on both sides of the garage. The circuit has an electronic timer and the bulbs will not work properly with the timer. Even when the timer is off, the lights are on and flickering (very dim). The instructions that came with the bulbs clearly state that they cannot be used with a timer. I wish this was stated in the product description. I've found other uses for lightbulbs and amโ€ฆ

Great, replaced some other similar power LEDs that failed due to quality issues

Replaced my old LED banks, two out of four failed due to poor quality driver components (full phase rectifier, small, operating at around 110 % design power). It really annoys me when LED products fail way before their average lifespan. In any case, the old ones were about as bright as 200 watt CFLs, which is a lot. I mention that for comparison. Moving on: They work very close to the listed specifications. They emit an order of magnitude less light than the LED clusters they replaced, butโ€ฆ
