Bamboo Sushi 🍣 Rolling Paddle by YOFAN Review

This is exactly what I needed. Simple and inexpensive. I wrap the press and seal the bamboo mat to keep it from getting dirty, this makes cleaning easier. It's not a fancy set, but it gets the job done. Making sushi at home for the first time. So happy because making sushi yourself is very easy and very cheap!

This pad measures 9" x 9" and the paddle length is 5.5 inches so it's small. The spoon section is 2 inches and is for spreading sticky rice. It gets the job done, the wood is smooth and held together tightly. It was very easy to clean. I didn't handle it very gently when I cleaned it, and it didn't fall apart either. When you roll up the rug to put it away, it stays in that position.

This was just what I needed to learn how to make sushi myself. The roll mat was the perfect size and as long as I use nori it doesn't need much cleaning. However, sushi rice is quite sticky, so the raw wood for the rice paddle is a bit difficult to separate from the rice. I also thought it would be easier to put the rice on top of the nori for the sushi rolls, but it was a lot easier just to get my hands wet than using a paddle. But I'm definitely looking forward to making more sushi.
