I was getting interested in making rope baskets and this rope worked pretty well. The rope is twisted, so you need to be careful when pulling the rope. After creating the base disc, I attached it to a piece of frame stabilizer and set it on the embroidery machine to apply the embroidered pattern. The rope took the embroidery well.

I bought this rope because I am making a rope carpet after many failed attempts at making a jelly roll carpet. I used the same fabric and only covered the rope. I can tuck it under the presser foot of my sewing machine. My first order arrived very quickly and I wanted to order more because 1 spool only makes a 31" rug and I need a larger rug. Unfortunately, when I came back to order more, it took over a month to ship, so I had to order more elsewhere. Otherwise it's a good rope.

All in all a great cotton rope for crafts, not things that need something more permanent, think really thick yarn more than rope. My only issue with the product and the reason I deducted a star was that the diameter is not entirely accurate. I ordered a 1/4 inch rope and if you leave the rope slack and smooth it out a bit it comes out to 1/4 inch in diameter but if you teach and round it it gets just under 3/16 inch be what a bummer was.
