Anyone who's ever caught themselves juggling 2, 3, 4 pots on a stove knows that when they're doing a task with two hands, they pull one hand back to do something else. This box doesn't require an extra hand to lift the lid, so you can keep stirring, salting and tasting on the go - simply the best and beautifully designed too!

This is a really great salt dispenser, it fits a lot so you don't have to keep refilling it, but it looks nicer than a giant salt box. Every once in a while I find a few things inside, but that's more because I leave the container open than because of the design. The ceramic is also good quality, not cheap and clearly not machine made as darker white ceramic can be.

Bought another salt fountain with a hinged lid. It took me two hands to open the lid to get my kosher salt, which is a hassle when cooking. This salt box is the perfect solution! It's bigger than most salt wells, which is nice. More importantly, I can easily open it with the back of my hand and extract the salt with just one hand. It looks elegant and unique in my modern kitchen too!

We love the functionality of this piece so much we bought it for a friend's housewarming. I love that I can grab a pinch of salt with one hand without removing the lid and placing it on a dirty counter. I've been looking for other options for a long time, but this one seemed the most functional to me. It is used and loved! Not quite five stars for the shortcomings listed below.

I bought two containers, white and artichoke, for two different salts and both are on the counter by the stove. I couldn't buy anything better. The size is perfect and I loved the idea of the pens. Sometimes my hands get dirty in the rush of cooking, and the handles are perfect for keeping the rest of the container clean and moving it from one place to another on the counter. In addition, the design is very beautiful. I recommend buying.
