Good quality for the price

I bought this as the base for my Maleficent Halloween costume. It's a great, versatile piece, and very sturdy. I'm 5'2" and it's a bit long on me, but it works for the character, and if I wear heels it will almost be the right length. The ribbon is not part of the dress; it comes with it, but you have to wrap it on the dress yourself. I was able to wrap it the way it is in the picture, but it does slip out of place pretty easily.Overall, this is a great, affordable dress you can use with lots…

The costume is cheaply made and does not look like the photograph.

The gold string was not attached to the dress. It looks more like a witches dress than a Renaissance dress. I will be returning this.

Not quite as expected

This dress is only ok. The fabric feels really cheap but it flows beautifully. The major complaint my daughter had was that the upper layer of the skirt is just sewn on to the front of the dress and doesn’t wrap all the way around. Luckily she’s wearing a cloak over top so you can’t see it but without the cloak it looks a little strange from the back.That being said, the look from the front Is exactly as pictured

Large and wrinkly. best in my review

Bought this for a Halloween costume but it was so incredibly wrinkly. I could not get the wrinkles out. It was also very large for my frame.

Looks as advertised

My child wanted to be "jack" from animal crossings. It wore like a purple robe dress looking thing. Anyways the dress itself ripped entirely too easy. It was very thin (which was appreciated due to living in the desert). After about three times of wearing it for a few hours to do trunk or treating, it's no longer wearable. It definitely served its purpose, just would've rather not spent 30 bucks on it for it to fall apart so easily.

If you are short don’t buy unless you plan to trim it.

I’m 4 foot and 9 inches and it was so long. I ended up trimming it about half a foot. Overall it a nice costume for renaissance festival.

Pros
  • Way too long and wide in the shoulders but snug at the waist. Well constructed, good quality fabric.
Cons
  • Material is cheap but for the price I guess it's ok. I ordered a medium, it runs a bit big and long.
