I use these onions for my birds. They are best used when they are older and prone to disease. 100W lamps have enough heat for this purpose. Unfortunately, regular pet stores sell 75W or 150W bulbs. So it was good for me to find 3 packs of these bulbs. Of course I haven't used all of them yet. I expect they will last as long as the other 100 watt bulbs I have used. They were carefully packed. I appreciate that and that they arrived on time.

Good bulbs. I use them for the bearded dragon and the skunk gecko. They emit almost no light, mostly heat, which is what I was looking for. They are weak but generate enough heat for a 20 gallon terrarium. Lizards do not perceive light at all. If you're looking for a light to illuminate your pet's home at night, bright enough for you to observe, it may be too dark. These bulbs are amazing. They keep my tanks right where they should be at night, but they tend to burn out pretty quickly. But without a doubt, every time I order them online, at least one of them is broken. It was only one this time, but I've had occasions where I've ordered packs of three and all three have broken.
