I bought these for a friend who likes hot drinks. She wanted something with a lid that would prevent most spills. They are perfect for their needs. They are bright and beautiful and hold a fair amount of liquid. They don't have any thermoregulatory abilities, which she didn't want, but keep that in mind. The covers can be easily removed and tightened without a torque wrench. Bonus! The handles are big enough for stiffer fingers and comfortable to use. Overall a good buy at a good price.

I don't use it to make oatmeal, I make oatmeal in bulk and store it in these mugs in the fridge. This is a quick lunch concept during the week and they warm up nicely! Easy to clean, nothing fancy, the top colored tab barely "clicks". I think when you cook oatmeal you should press one side down like a seesaw and the opposite side will rise. But does it really seem functional to me? I just found it odd, but this is the perfect container for the basic necessities.
