Review on Verbatim External DVD Writer Compatible by Chris Burks

This product received half as many 1s as 5s which is odd. I think I found the reason. I couldn't get mine to work at all until I played around with the USB port on the back; then worked part time. So I got out the supplied cable (I used an older one of the same type), sprayed the plug on the cable and the socket on the device with "electronics cleaner" and plugged it back in. Now it works great. So I have to think that the problems many people are having are related to the wired connection, maybe a poor quality connector on the block. So try what I did if you're having trouble with that. I will update my review if I find other issues.
