He was too loose to take that thing off. This infuriated my husband and he started cleaning the element and tool. We got a different, different brand from Lowe's and it worked right away. I also received "universal" replacement elements of the same brand. The threads didn't match, so they wouldn't screw in. When I sent the tool and parts back, they charged me $7 for return shipping. Don't worry about that. It's not worth the trouble.
