During a recent storm my vinyl blinds were partially ripped off. I was able to pry the heads off the old pins with a claw hammer. Using a 1/4" bit I was able to go through the hole in the breech and either drill out what was left of the old broken pin or drill a new hole nearby. After that a new pin was placed in both holes and tapped lightly on the hammer, to finish the job I just bought a few more to have on hand My shutters are 25 years old and on the sunny side of the house.
