First of all, this is a very heavy lens. It can be distressing. I'll also admit that I'm a bit remorseful because of buyers' remorse, because this is a very expensive lens, but every time I look at the photos I've taken with it, I know it's worth the money is. I cannot recommend this lens. If you don't know, you need a different length. 28-300 is a wide range and if you can use lenses with a different range (24-70, 70-200, 100-400) there may be another larger aperture/lighter/cheaper lens that suits your needs better corresponds. I'll wear this lens when I don't know what's coming, but if I can narrow my shooting range I'll use a more focused lens. I travel a lot and for a long time so this lens will always be in my kit as a very high quality protective lens.
