I've seen these mini electric screwdrivers and wondered just how much torque they produce. That is, although they're clearly intended for light duty use in driving very small screws, I decided to try this one and find out how it would hold up to tougher tasks. And here is where my review title comes into play: This thing is weak. I tortured it a bit, which is described in detail below, and it failed abysmally. That's the edge of the sword that can cut you. Don't buy this, expecting it to drive anything other than tiny machine screws. As for the sword edge that works for you. It's the lack of power! This little screwdriver will not strip screws, unless they are very tiny and are being threaded into improperly sized holes. So, to torture test this thing, I designed and 3D printed a surface that had six nubs, with holes, protruding from the surface. The diameters of the nubs and corresponding holes were sized to different screw types and sizes. The largest screw was a short #6 wood screw, and the smallest was a tiny machine screw. I chased threads in a few of the nub holes, using another screw of the same type that I intended to drive into a nub. Before attempting to drive any screws, I powered this screwdriver on without a bit and pressed my finger firmly into the empty bit holder. The motor bogged down heavily. I figured it wouldn't do well in my test, but proceeded anyway. This screwdriver couldn't drive any screws into holes that didn't have chased threads. The #6 screws were out of the question completely, even with the hole threaded to receive the screw. The only screw that this screwdriver drove was a tiny machine screw into a nub whose hole had been chased with threads already, and it couldn't bottom the screw out.Next, I grabbed some old electronic devices, such as a Nintendo 2DS console, and tried removing screws from them. This screwdriver did not struggle here thankfully; It loosened and removed all of the screws in the devices. Bear in mind though, they were all very small screws, many of them being size 0 or 00 Phillips screws.I was pleasantly surprised to discover that when I used this screwdriver to drive the screws I removed back in, it tightened them very reasonably. What I mean is, I didn't stop or articulate power of the screwdriver to avoid stripping the screws. I just held down the button until the motor grunted at me and started stalling. This left the screws firmly tight, but no screws I drove with this thing got stripped. Again, I suspect if you try driving a screw into a damaged or improperly sized hole, you may strip the hole or screw, but at that point, you'd probably want to do a repair or use a hand powered screwdriver instead.Moving on, I haven't used this screwdriver extensively, so I can't comment on battery life. The integrated LED light is a serious boon, even if you're working in a very well lit workspace. It's almost a necessity if your workspace isn't well lit though; Compact as this screwdriver is, it will still overshadow small screws, more pointedly, screws that this little guy can handle. Finally, the screwdriver's aluminum body is a nice, sleek touch, and the indicator LED for the battery is straightforward and sufficient enough. Since this is both intended and limited to small, fine screw driving, it shouldn't see much abuse. Aside from tormenting the motor in mine a few times in my testing, I haven't been rough with mine, but I think it would survive some rough handling, such as a rare drop to the floor. So long as the battery inside is a good quality unit, this screwdriver should serve you well, even in day to day tasks in a workplace.
