In general this is a much more solid belt/disc sander than other units in its price range. If you are considering a Ryobi or the like, it is worth the upgrade to get a more powerful motor and more solid chassis. Belt changes aren't too onerous, and the unit is well made. The company seems to be quite good with support as well. However, the various accessories are pretty much useless if you need accuracy. The Miter slides in the miter track loosely. There is at least 1.5mm of play between the miter gauge bar and the track that it slides in, making it wobble. Worse, my miter gauge bar was not straight, but curved in a way that leads to wobble in another axis. The aluminum platforms are not flat. If you are trying to get a consistent angle on small parts, you are out of luck. I was utterly unable to lock in a consistent 90 degree angle on either of the platforms. So you are relegated to either using them as safety stops or just taking them off entirely. In short, if you don't care about precision or you are doing free handed sanding, this is fine. If you need to lock in a precise angle in either of the main axes, you should get a more expensive belt/disc sander like a Jet or Powermatic. I'm about to retire this one for exactly that reason.
