Mounts to domestic plumbing to monitor pressure. The red maximum pressure arrow is somewhat sensitive. For example when a toilet is not fills up more or a motion-controlled faucet shuts off, the house's black water pressure arrow can easily bounce.This problem was solved by wrapping some tape (a few turns will do - just don't apply too much) under the brass center of the dial.Plus, this gauge reads about 4psi higher than the old gauge (from another manufacturer).. This failed. The old gauge read 72psi, the new one 76psi. Not sure which one is more accurate. I'm giving it four stars for the maximum needle sensitivity.
