I have bought 14 of these valves for different places in my house. This is the easiest way to replace old valves on toilets, sinks, and ice makers. They're a quarter turn so are easy to turn on and off and seem to be extremely durable so I don't think I'll need to replace them for many years to come. If they need to be removed, they are very easy to remove and will not damage the pipe. I will be using them every time I need to replace a valve in my house from now on. How to replace these valves1. Cut the existing valve off with a pipe cutter, jigsaw, or dremel. What you have will give you about 1 inch of pipe. 2. Remove any burrs, paint or dirt from the outside of the tube. Otherwise, leaks may occur. 3. Press the Shark Bite firmly against the tube. as far as possible on the pipe.4. Ready!
