This is a great replacement for the outdated so called 30A twist lock plug and socket. The fit is secure and secure. Snaps securely into place without worrying or figuring out how to orient the plug in the outlet. Snaps into place with a satisfying click! rather than some vague sort of blocked. Installation can be a bit more problematic than the instructions and videos suggest. I had to drill two new holes as my old (1992) Hubbel connector has a slightly different bolt spacing. I also had to make some cuts in the existing round hole to accommodate the unique shape of the new vessel body. However, it didn't matter much. Some owners (like me) will struggle with very short cables inside the boat, but that's not a problem with this product. The end of the cord was VERY tight on the cord (Marinco). Definitely a snug fit (don't skip or skimp on dish soap!) I have far more confidence in this plug than an old, wobbly, flimsy twist-lock that doesn't seem capable of even handling a full 30 amps. very long.
