When I work in IT, these things break all the time. I'm satisfied with how reliable it is. As it looked like it was from overseas I was skeptical but it arrived and works great! Comes with a handy drawstring pouch. This is handy so you don't risk losing the special USB cable that comes with the data and power. It has no problems booting, which is good for machines with defective CD drives. It is also useful for laptops without a CD drive, both for installing programs to the hard drive and for reinstalling the operating system. I don't like the USB cable that came with it. This is a special dual head USB cable. One for power and one for data. This is a strange cable because if you are using a laptop with USB ports far apart, the cable will be difficult to use. Smaller netbooks may have a USB port on each side that is difficult to connect with a cable. You must connect both cables. I have used other single cable external drives which makes it much easier to use any laptop or desktop computer. Advantages: - cheap - good design - practical storage case - bootable. Cons: - Strange USB cable / non-standard USB ports Overall, for the price, I would recommend it to users knowing they have 2 available USB ports next to each other. Otherwise, you might spend a few bucks more to get a cable. However, for IT professionals who can make things like this work, you should! Super durable!
