I think the impact driver itself is maybe about 4 stars worth of tool but since it comes in a nice case with a decent set of sockets and extensions and a larger than average capacity battery I am rounding up to 5 stars. The tool is lightweight and has a short powerhead that enables it to get into tight places that some other drivers won't fit. I was surprised, however, that during some very un-scientific testing this driver didn't really seem to quite match power with my heavy old Porter Cable cordless impact driver and I wasn't expecting that since the PC was rated for 230 ft lbs and the listing for this tool claims 450 ft lbs. You can see in my video what I experienced. I still haven't ruled out the vague possibility that the power setting you leave for forward driving *might* have some effect on reverse power but that doesn't really seem to be the case for sure, and even if it is it's too confusing. I'm going with the conclusion that this thing doesn't make anywhere near 450 ft lbs, in forward OR reverse, but that doesn't make it a bad tool. It's still way easier to handle than my PC brand tool and the brake-stop feature is really cool. Having two forward modes helps avoid over-tightening lug nuts. My PC does not have either of those features and its huge and heavy. 99% of the time you are not going to encounter grossly overtightened nuts and bolts like the exaggerated example I did in my video. This tool zips off normally tightened lug nuts and such with ease.I really appreciate the included case and the sockets, the larger sizes included will cover most typical sizes of lug nuts and studs you find on most vehicles so that saves you from having to go buy a set. However it is a little disappointing that they include 9mm and 11mm sockets but no 10mm socket. Not really a big deal, you probably should not be using an impact driver this powerful on 9/10/11mm fasteners but if you are going to give me some then why skip the most popular size? But anyways. This is an almost perfect kit for typical home use (rotating tires, removing lawn mower blades, driving lag screws into timber, etc). It works well and I would say I can recommend it.
